![]() ![]() Upon first glance, the team at HIGH5 has clearly designed a beautiful unit. Even better than that, these guys are focused on keeping their innovations affordable, which means greater accessibility to premium functionality for all! What’s not to love? The results are not only beautiful products, but highly functional pieces that get the job done. Enter The High Five Duo.Ī newcomer to this particular section of the market, HIGH5 has actually been around for a while developing everything from E-nails to Rosin Presses, and unlike many brands in the space, these guys do everything in house-from design to production. While we’re all looking forward to the days where we’ll no longer need a torch, many of these *soupers* just haven’t been it yet. ![]() Others, which seem to hit the required temperature, can’t shake that burnt taste-quickly chazzing bangers or tasting like plastic. Many of these devices, which claim to get hot enough to produce an actual dab hit, just can’t take the heat. Between the Puffco Peak, the Kandypens Oura, Focus V Carta, and the hundreds of cheap knock-offs that have come after them, the surplus of competitors unfortunately hasn’t exactly brought a surplus of functionality. Great company. The E-Rig space is quickly becoming one of the most crowded in the industry. The good people at Endeavor have been super supportive at answering all my questions. I've hit a few jumps with the boards and has fun carving / buttering to switch and the flex is just right for my size and aggressive riding style.īeen wanting to try that board for a while. The Urethane sidewalls are doing a very good job at keeping the boar damp and there is no shattering at higher speed. Turn initiation isn't super fast but once you are in a carve it holds and holds and hold. ![]() I was very surprised by the edge hold that board had on the ice here. I come from 15 years racing carving hard boots and needed an all mountain board that could do it all but still carve on the ice coast. ¸īoard has lots of Camber ! which is really good as I won't ride anything without camber. That was probably one of the High Five’s top qualities.Īll in all, we felt like we got to shake the boards hand and exchange a few pleasantries but didn’t really get to know it.īeen wanting to try that board for a while. Jumps: Nice pop and it had a good snap to ollies off the tip and tail. ![]() Pipe: No pipe but these are the types of boards we usually like to ride in the pipe. Jibbing: Not a bad jibber but it felt more at home to us in the pipe and on jumps. Uneven Terrain: It handled uneven terrain very well and even though it’s a touch on the aggressive side we had an easy time in the mostly bumpy snow.Įdge Hold: Not too sure here because the conditions were pretty soft with only a few short patches of harder snow but it looks like it’s going to be a board that can handle hard snow ok but I’d really like to spend more time on it.įlex: Doesn’t feel super buttery like the Gorilla but it feels snappy and poppy. Speed: Not a bomber board but it seems to be on the faster end of the twin spectrum. It was also quick when negotiating moguled up powder and trees. Turn Initiation and Carving: From what we could tell in the conditions we had it was very quick and snappy edge to edge and it would have been fun to take it out in clean groomers and really throw down some hard carving turns. Powder: It wasn’t a powder master but it didn’t throw us over the handlebars either. It also had a semi-aggressive feel to it. It was stable snappy, quick, poppy and fun. On Snow Feel: We had conditions that don’t really allow you to get the whole personality of the board but we both felt a few things come through. Set Up: 23” wide 15 front -15 back centered We do make money from the “Where To Buy” links, but this is our best attempt at an honest and objective review from an average riders’ perspective.Ĭonditions: Over a foot of chopped up end of the day Powder Best Percussion Massagers For SnowboardersĮthics Statement: We don’t get paid by the manufacturer to write these reviews.About The Good Ride Snowboard Outerwear Reviews.About The Good Ride Snowboard Boot Reviews.About The Good Ride Snowboard Binding Reviews. ![]()
